UW Mississauga

Arsalan came to Canada in 2011 as an international student in the School of Business at Brock University, and he graduated with honours in Business Administration. He began looking for employment after graduation, and joined the business in December 2015, in Richmond Hill Ontario.

Arsalan completed the Management Training Program in August 2016. In 2017, Wild West Roadshows was born. Since 2019, Arsalan has expanded the organization into Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador and New Brunswick. Currently, he oversees over 25 marketing firms in the United West organization. Arsalan was promoted to National Consultant in October 2023.

Advice:

Don’t quit. There were at least five or six occasions throughout my journey where I came close to throwing in the towel. Had I done that, none of this would have ever existed. My advice is to be persistent.


Ghassan Nasser, owner and CEO of SKM Acquisitions Inc., was born in Montreal and raised in Abu Dhabi. Before joining the business, Ghassan worked in a variety of industries, with education in Software Engineering and Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Ghassan interviewed for an entry-level position at Wild West Roadshows Inc. in July of 2019, and began his journey in the Costco division, very quickly showing his marketing talent.

Consistency in sales and training led him to work with and master other programs and divisions, and he was promoted to management in August 2020 with a strong team behind him. Ghassan moved to Ottawa as part of the Ontario expansion team in September 2021 and joined the Mississauga crew in November of 2023.

Advice:

We all have activities or situations that we avoid because we’re afraid or feel uncomfortable. Those are the ones we need to tackle first, and with gusto. Embrace discomfort and you will triumph with confidence.

Ghassan Nasser

Tom Jones

Jonesy, as he's fondly called, came into this business with years of sales and customer service experience, from being a waiter/bartender to selling cars. He entered the business in Edmonton, Alberta and fell in love with it. Now, he'll be the first one to admit he was not the best employee but he took the opportunity to learn and grow within the management training program.

In 2022, he moved to Toronto alongside his mentor Abdi Egal. He worked day in and day out and now he runs his own business. Tom is excited about what comes next in his cycle of development.

Advice:

Work hard and it'll pay off. I'm living proof that anyone can do it.


Denis Shcherbina

Denis Shcherbina moved to Canada at the age of 18, to find a better life and opportunity. Denis began his Canadian journey as an international student and graduated in 2022 from a Business Administration Marketing program at Seneca College. He applied for a job at Wild West Roadshows after graduation. He found the position very interesting as the role involved both competition and challenges. The opportunity of being a business owner at the end of completing the management program kept Denis going.

He admits that his path to management was not an easy one. He faced many challenges which made him both resilient and persistent. He launched United Nexus Marketing in May 2022 and is looking forward to the next stage in his journey.

Advice:

Denis' main advice to anyone starting their journey in this business is to find someone whose story relates to you and COPY, CHEAT and STEAL.

Puneet Chanana

Puneet comes from a vibrant background in hospitality and customer service. Since he joined the business in May 2023, Puneet has demonstrated unwavering focus and determination in pursuing his professional dreams. His relentless drive to thrive and secure a prosperous future has led him to become the fastest Ownership promotion in the United West organization, all within an impressive span of just 5 months.

He cherishes the inclusive work culture and the absence of hierarchies within this business, considering them the most important aspects of his current professional journey. Puneet wants to grow and develop in the business. He aspires to launch a series of promotions, to help people and himself progress to the next milestones in life and ultimately wishes to own a house in Canada.

Advice:

Guys, success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing. So buckle up and get started.

Omar Skiek

Born in Syria and raised in Mississauga, Omar’s early years were shaped by diverse experiences. In 2018, he pursued a degree in Media Business at Guelph Humber University, aspiring to carve out a career in the media industry particularly as a photographer. Like many others, his goal was to finish school and land a job in his field of passion. After graduating, Omar spent nearly four years working at the Rec Room, gaining some work experience. While he had never envisioned a career in sales, Omar decided to embrace change and challenge himself in a way he hadn’t considered before. In August 2023, he took a leap of faith and joined our team, ready to explore a new direction and expand his skill set.

Despite having no prior experience in sales, he found this position intriguing, seeing it as a pathway to greater financial opportunities, which was his primary goal. The potential for growth and advancement stood out to him, and after dedicating himself to the journey, he successfully completed the Management Training Programme in March 2025. He is eager to grow his organization and kick off promotional campaigns.

Advice:

Focus on what you can control and give it your best effort; the rest will fall into place when the time is right.


UW North York

Abdi was born in Ottawa, Ontario, and studied Criminology at Carlton University. After a few years, he realized that this course was not for him, so he got into welding and completed his journeyman apprenticeship. Abdi moved to Alberta in 2016, and, when the economy crashed, he began looking for different work.

He was hired by Scott in Calgary, and he re-enrolled in school for accounting. He planned to make money and go back to school. However, after one year, he had five guys on his team and had made over $100,000 in commissions. He opened Elevated Concepts Inc. in 2018 with his business partner, Mackenzie. In 2019, his appetite led him to expand into the Edmonton market with the help of Arsalan Mahmood. He hit his goal of being awarded Rookie Manager of the Year in 2020, and the rest is history. Now, in the North York area of Ontario, he is driven to expand his team to new limits. Abdi was promoted to Regional Consultant in October 2023.

Advice:

Be coachable, have an open mind, and work really hard for your goals, or you’ll wind up working hard for someone else’s.


Abdullahi Egal

Katrina King

Katrina was born and raised in a small town south of Ottawa. She always had a passion for music and art. While she was initially uncertain about her career path, she recognized early on her desire for independence and an aversion to traditional employment. Seeking direction, she enrolled in the Graphic Design program at Algonquin College.

After her first semester, Katie explored job opportunities in her field during the summer break and discovered a marketing position. Although uncertain if it was the right fit, she applied and quickly excelled, meeting leadership standards within her first three days. After a year of dedication and hard work, Katie was offered the opportunity to relocate to Toronto to contribute to a new division. She had to rebuild her team from the ground up. Within less than a year, she completed the Management Training Program at the age of 23, showcasing her perseverance and commitment to professional growth.

Advice:

Trusting the process is essential for personal and professional growth. Embrace the journey; it holds valuable lessons and unexpected opportunities. Remember to find joy in the little moments along the way.

Arsalaan Dhunna

Arsalaan arrived in Canada in 2019, having just graduated in Business Administration from the University of Wolverhampton in the UK. He studied for two years in Canada and successfully completed his postgraduate in Public Relations at Niagara College. Arsalaan then moved on to complete a postgraduate in International Business Management at Fleming College, Peterborough.

He worked as a full-time Chef during his summer break before moving to Peterborough. Arsalaan joined the business in July 2020 and made his way through the Management Training Program, opening his business in June 2021. The management training program developed his skill sets beyond measure. He aspires to be a TED Talk speaker and to keep impacting lives and utilize his business as a vehicle to his growing success.

Alec Dawdy

Before joining United West Alec grew up in K/W. He later attended George Brown College in Toronto for Event Management and Hospitality. After school he started doing live events for music. But during covid with with no live events being run, he moved out of the GTA back to K/W and was faced with a challenge of looking for a change in work so he got into logistics and sales with a variety of products. Once he figured out the industry and company he was in had limited growth opportunities and couldn't provide the future he wanted for himself and his family, he again looked for a change. Looking to move back to the GTA area he interviewed with Ace Management Group. Instantly he loved the office. Growing up as a competitive kickboxer he was very attracted to the high energy and competitive environment that the office brought everyday. Starting like everyone else as a sales rep he quickly was promoted to a leader on the FW1 program. 11 months down the line he had done both the FW1 and Rogers program. He grew his team and launched into ownership as Ox Marketing Group.

Advice:

''Don't get comfortable, Push yourself to perfection. Effort in life is always rewarded. So ask yourself what is your effort worth and your reward will be the same".

UW Calgary

Nick started the business after graduating from Thompson Rivers University with a BBA in 2016. What first started as a temporary job to pay the bills, turned into a passion for personal development that drove Nick to the management level. In late 2017, Nick launched Gusto Promotions with the vision of financial freedom. Nick’s journey didn't come without struggle as he rode the ups and downs through the first two years of business, before really finding his stride in 2020.

His favourite part of the business is seeing someone's journey from the person he interviews to the leader they become. Nick relocated to Calgary, AB in the summer of 2023 and is excited to take on the next adventure.

Advice:

Have fun with it. Find joy with whatever you are doing in life. When you love the things you do, the hours no longer matter, the doubt goes away and the process becomes easy. So find an aspect of everything that you truly enjoy. The secret sauce is to enjoy it, and you will never want to drink anything else.

Nicholas Braun

Dylan Schaeffer

Dylan is the CEO of Zingaro Marketing Inc, having launched in 2020. Before joining the business, Dylan was working in a variety of different sales positions, ranging from door-to-door sales and business-to-business. Dylan is very grateful for his journey throughout the business. It has taught him multiple skills including training, building and managing a group of individuals, organizational skills and how to work for the things that he wants in life.

Advice:

The advice that I would give to someone starting in the business would be to focus on making yourself the strongest that you can be. Always have a student mentality, no matter how strong you become, and learn how to train and mentor a wide variety of people.

Sadman Sakif

Sadman came to Canada in 2019 with a clear goal in mind, to advance his career in the marketing industry. Although he had only limited experience in direct marketing before his move, he was eager to build on that foundation and gain more experience.

Sadman joined the business in October 2022 and completed the Management Training Program by 2024. With the skills and experience he gained, Sadman then went on to open his own business, Maplemind Marketing Inc. Starting his own company reflects his dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. Maplemind Marketing Inc. must be a testament to his vision and hard work.

Advice:

My advice to new team members is to come in with a positive attitude every day. A strong work ethic will help you excel. Focus on absorbing the positive aspects from everyone around you and let go of any negativity. This mindset will help you thrive and make a great impression.

UW Edmonton

Before being personally recruited into the business, Madds was a full-time university student at the University of Alberta, pursuing a pre-med bachelor's degree. She was working full-time as an animal carer and trainer for sea lions and penguins at Edmonton’s aquarium, as well as a part-time server at Earl’s. She was laid off from both jobs due to COVID-19, the school went online and in July 2020, Madds began working for ACE Management Group under the mentorship of Abdi Egal.

Madds found a passion for sales and was the Merch Madness champion of 2020. She was given the opportunity to open her business in Winnipeg, Manitoba at just 21 years old. Madds has since seen the country and travelled internationally with the United West organization. Through the business, she has been able to support her family, buy her first home and raise a new puppy.

Advice:

If this was easy, everyone would do it. Hard work will outwork talent everyday, so always be the hardest worker in the room.


Madison Gennaro

Denis Danilov

Denis, owner of MRD Marketing Inc., was born in Samara, Russia. He moved to Canada in 2016 to attend SAIT University to study Petroleum Engineering. With little work experience and unable to find work in his field, he joined the business in September 2018. On joining the business, he just wanted “a job”, but after his first R&R retreat in Punta Cana with the management team, he realized that he did want to complete the Management Training Program.

He transferred to Wild West Roadshows Inc. in January of 2020 and relocated to Edmonton, AB to build a team. He completed the program in August of 2020. Family is a major motivation for Denis and he strives to provide a great life for his family, both here in Canada and at home in Russia. Denis joined the team in Mississauga, ON in January 2023.

Advice:

This is just the beginning. But it is going to be the toughest and longest part of the Management Training Program, so it’s important to remember to believe in the systems when it comes down to building a team. Not everyone is going to work out, but you have to believe in yourself and never give up.


UW Winnipeg

Dorian grew up in a small community, before moving to Brandon for college where he studied business and management. After college, he became an insurance salesman, selling accident sickness and life insurance. After a year and a half of sales, Dorian decided to take a step back from the workforce and move to Lake Manitoba FN, where he took on the challenge of mentoring youth and funding them through different hockey programs and tournaments.

As the youth began to come of age, Dorian decided it was time to join back into the workforce and came across the ad for United Management Group. He was promoted to management in the Summer of 2022!

Advice:

Don’t be scared to step out of your comfort zone. Take advantage of the vast network of mentors and knowledge at your disposal.


Dorian Black

UW Whitby

Originally from Calcutta India, Tamoghna moved to Canada in 2010 as an International Student. He attended the University of Manitoba studying an Honors in Ecology and Environmental Biology, and after graduating he conducted research for two years. He had the opportunity to work alongside the 2015 Nobel Prize recipient, Dr. William Campbell. He soon realized that lab life wasn’t for him, so in April 2021, he applied for a marketing representative position. He was primarily looking for a change of pace and to learn new skills.

Less than six months later, Tamoghna was given the opportunity to manage his own team in the Winnipeg office. His favourite aspects of the business include travelling, meeting new people, income opportunities and the chance to open his own marketing firm. He is excited to see what the next stage of his development brings!

Advice:

Stick to the basics. Work hard. Talk to your manager every day. If someone like me with no background in business and sales can do it, anyone can.

Tamoghna Chakraborty

UW Vaughan

Before joining the business, Andrew was a full-time student at York University, studying biomedical science. While he never took any courses regarding business, sales or marketing, he always figured in the future he would be running his own business. Being someone interested in fashion, he started his own clothing brand while working as a salesman at Versace, but eventually had to stop due to the time commitment, being in school for most of the week. Trying a couple different jobs every few months, Andrew joined the business in October of 2021.

He started off unsure, still focused on his schooling and his interest in fashion. After a few months of learning about the business and realizing the opportunity at hand, he made the tough decision to end his schooling early and pursue his ultimate goal of being a business owner. Although excelling in sales, Andrew had to learn how to build up others. About a year later, after building multiple teams on different clients, Andrew was ready to move into a management position. He was promoted to executive management in June of 2023 and is now a quarterback at the UW Vaughan branch.

Advice:

Don’t take yourself so seriously. Make mistakes, ask questions, embarrass yourself in front of others. Those with humility learn & earn the most.

Andrew Flahat

Rojin Hosseini

Before joining the business Rojin was Studying Business Management at York University. Her interest always lied in sales and marketing since all her previous job positions were sales related, She worked at Best Buy to learn Sales and grow in a reputable company. Just going into University she wanted to have more experience when it came to Management and running a business. After applying to many different sales roles, she joined the business in July 2022. She knew the opportunity at hand and wanted to jump up the ladder as soon as possible. After working with different clients and building up her team, she was promoted into executive management in August 2024.

Advice:

''The only thing that overcomes hard luck is hard work''.
